Topshop gloss ink 'cruel' - review.

Today is a mini review of the topshop gloss ink in the shade 'cruel',
I picked this up a few months back after seeing it on Fleur's blog ,
I fell in love with this colour and she raved about it,
so I went to topshop that day!

Surprisingly I wasn't too impressed with this product, it has a very thick consistency, this makes it pretty difficult to apply, I have to scrape most of the product back into the tube then pick up what I need on the applicator.

I love the packaging of this product, matte black and compact with glossy writing to finish it off.
'Cruel' is a high shine deep berry red shade, it is gorgeous once applied and stays glossy but it wears off pretty easily and I haven't noticed much staining power.
It's a nice product if you can be bothered to take the time to apply it properly and aren't looking for a lasting lip colour.

You can see from the above photo, it has beautiful blue/purple shimmer in it, it's not really noticeable on the lips but isn't it beautiful?

If you live in the UK you might be aware of what a 'snowball' drink is (it's basically advocaat and lemonade) and this product smell just like it.

I wouldn't say these are a dupe for the YSL glossy stain, which is what they have been compared too but they do have a similar look to them once applied, these are just slightly stickier and thicker.

Overall rating: 4/5
