L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash - 'princess', 'romy' & 'juliet' - review.

Hello!
Today's review is of the Loreal glamshine 'stain splash' also known
as stains or glossy stain dupes.
 £7.99 - link

I have three colours of the L'Oreal lip stains, Princess, Romy & Juliet.
They were expected to be a glossy stain dupe so I was super excited for this product as a complete devotee to the YSL alternative.
The first difference between then two is the smell/taste, The YSL glossy stains are quite fruity tasting and not too heavily scented but the L'Oreal version has a very strong taste to it, it's fruity but also very perfume-y.

These products are very buildable, if you want a sheer wash of colour then go for one coat and if you want something slightly more glossy and opaque then you can apply another thin coat and it will be all you need.
as you can see below, the first photo is one coat, the second photo is
two coats and the third photo is the stain left behind.
Both products have very similar applicators but I do actually prefer the L'Oreal applicator, the YSL version is almost fluffy which doesn't help with application.
The packaging of both products is reasonably good, I think the YSL version is one of the cheaper looking YSL products so the L'Oreal version is actually a winner for me, shiny gold packaging with a clear slit to see the colour of the product and the lid clicks once screwed on so you know when it's shut.
They are not thick or sticky and last for a few hours but they do leave behind a stain so it is worth the short wear time.
It is no surprise that the L'Oreal version are so similar to the original YSL glossy stains as L'Oreal owns the company YSL.
If you want to try something a little luxury or you're sensitive to tastes then go for the YSL, but if you don't mind a cheaper alternative with very minor differences then the L'Oreal versions are the way to go, especially as they are a fraction of the price.

*All products purchased myself, I am in no way affiliated with any companies nor do they know they're mentioned*

have you tried these? what do you think?
