Hello!
Today I thought I'd review the 'make up geek' eye shadows &
pigments that I purchased a few weeks ago, I couldn't wait any longer to review them!
Pigments- $6.99 / £4.28
& they do super cheap international shipping!

Now I'd heard quite a lot about this brand through the you tube community,
after all it's a youtuber's make up brand!
This brand was said to be comparable to MAC in quality...They're actually better!
I picked up five eyeshadow pans and two pigments... so let's hop in,
starting with the eye shadows.
As I just mentioned, these are a lot better than MAC, They are SO
pigmented, one swipe of your finger picks up enough colour for one eye.
They feel so soft and buttery, in the same league as Urban Decay.
My only fault with these eye shadows is they look incredible with a primer but not so much
without one, I'm a primer addict and will always wear one but for those who
don't wear primer or don't want that extra step then you won't be happy!
They still come out pigmented but the colour isn't as vibrant and opaque-
it almost gives them a pigment type effect when using primer.
These are of course magnetic eyeshadow pans as you can see by the photo,
they don't have outer packaging besides the cardboard flat pack slit that
they come in so you will need an eyeshadow palette to house them,
I bought one on eBay for super cheap and used double sided sticky
tape to stick mine down. ( my palette isn't magnetic ) but I will link that here! - link
of neutrals, brights, mattes & shimmers, I wasn't left wishing there was a specific colour
(although I do wish lemon drop was in stock when I ordered, I love a good yellow!)
I really can't think of one downside to these eye shadows, they're incredible and
possibly the best eye shadows after urban decay's...
they are literally the same so I couldn't pick!
They last all day but that's using a primer.
They're very cheap, almost too good to be true for what you get and the website offers
very cheap international shipping,
I think my order took 2-3 weeks once shipped to arrive from
the US to the UK, I'd say that's pretty fast!
I believe it cost me about £35 for 5 eye shadows, 2 pigments and shipping from America!
As someone who has bought products from the US before I think that's pretty damn cheap,
HOWEVER I did get charged £12 shipping tax... not impressed with that but it's the post
office that charged me and the website did state I could be charged and they're not responsible,
either way the price was worth my new goodies!
(keep reading below the swatches for the pigments review)
Time for the eyeshadow swatches! the top swatches are with primer
and the bottom swatches are without.
Now onto the pigments!
With a pigment you always get fall out, they are very messy!
One came with a sifter and one came without, either way they're equally as messy and
that's the only fault I can find.
When paired with a primer they're going nowhere!
The colours are so unique, pigmented and just beautiful!
Here are the swatches!
it also goes a bit of a red/brown when blended so it looks especially nice packed onto the lid and blended in the crease -as you can see it looks poor when not on top of primer.
Above is 'utopia' , a stunning bronze gold shade.
This one doesn't blend so easily and yet again looks poor with no primer
so if you're getting these pigments then it will be best if you get a primer,
even an inexpensive one!
But isn't that gorgeous?

Out of all the products I got from this range I'd say 'insomnia' pigment is
my favourite, it's similar to a wet n wild eyeshadow that I have but much more
pigmented and magical looking.
I do love every product that I purchased and they were worth every penny!
I've been using these products daily!
I'd give every single one of these products 5 / 5 !!
Have you tried make up geek?
what are your thoughts?
