So I picked this product up a few nights back and have only used it 4 or 5 times
so I don't feel I can fully review this just yet but I can give you my thoughts so far.
I picked up the original forumla as some little swines had opened all the
waterproof formulas in my local boots.
It is named 'big fake curves' due to the brush shape which is indeed, very curvy!
This is the downside.. The brush is great as it is so big it builds masses of length (not so much volume) ... which is perfect for those long spider lash lovers like myself but because the brush is so big it ends up on your eyelids..
I found that this product did smudge under my eyes but it wasn't the waterproof formula..
However after trying this product I wouldn't recommend the waterproof formula as
you need an oil based remover to get this off! ...
On the plus side though, despite this transferring to my face, it isn't any worse than a regular
mascara would do to me... It does last a long time on the lashes without any
flaking, cracking or loss of product... it stays firm all day!
I don't use the brush like you usually would, I just find it too fiddly so I use the big ball
on the end to coat all my lashes, this is also good for getting in your inner corners.
It is a very wet formula and takes a few minutes to dry..
this is the time that I sit squinting so it doesn't coat my brow bone in black when
I look up but once it does dry it doesn't budge for a while...
If you don't have a particularly oily eye area then this formula
would be very long lasting on you,
just make sure you have some coconut oil or an oily eye make up remover to hand...
it's not something that micellar water, a face wipe or even normal face wash can remove!
It's a very build able mascara, normally if you coat your lashes in the same mascara twice
it takes some of the product off but this didn't do that..
you really can get a false lash effect in 2-3 coats.
It has a very soft plastic bristle brush..
I couldn't decide if it was plastic at first due to being so soft!
If you're interested in what it looks like on the lashes then here are the swatches..
firstly we have one coat....
and then a second coat...
spidery and not too thick, just how I like them!
Overall I really like the effect that this mascara gives, it's particularly good over other mascaras when you want to build length.
I wish it was a little easier to remove and also that I got to test the waterproof formula..
This is so resistant to remove, I'll bet the waterproof version doesn't budge.
The brush is difficult to use but it gets easier and does help to build up your lashes.
I'd give this mascara a 4/5
I think the difficulty in removal is a con for some people and a pro for others
so I can't knock it too much on that front.
If you use the tip of the brush it's easier to use and
it does what it claims..
It curls and coats lashes from root to tip using its unique silicone brush!
I just really like the effect it gives.
