Red lips; the budget, the high street & the luxury.

Hello,
Today I thought I'd talk about red lips and the products that
I love in the these three categories; the budget, the high street & the luxury.

First up let's start with luxury.

YSL rouge pur couture the mats - 204 - link
The packaging on the product is beautiful but that isn't the only great thing,
this lipstick is a deeper toned red which doesn't make your teeth look yellow, it's
matte which is perfect for someone who doesn't want lipstick on their teeth and it
isn't overly transferable.
This lipstick glides on easily, is completely opaque and doesn't have that
'typical' plastic lipstick smell, it's a little fruity!
I think this lipstick is well worth the price, it isn't just luxurious to hold but
also to wear, you get what you pay for with this one.

Maybelline super stay 24hr color - 510 Red passion - link
This product has been a favourite of mine for years, it's almost identical
to the Rimmel provocalips but this product has two differences that make it a winner in
my eyes, one being the scent which is slightly fruity and the other is the applicator,
it's so precise and not 'fluffy'.
This is a two part liquid lipstick, you apply the coloured side and wait a few minutes
before applying the clear balm but due to not loving the balm I've thrown it away.
This is very opaque and easy to use which I love, I wish this range had a few more darker
shades, a deep red in this formula would be a holy grail.
This product is long lasting and survives eating and drinking.
I love this product, it is an essential for me and it's priced incredibly well
for the quality of the product.

Me-now generation long lasting lip gloss - 05 - link
Despite being named a lip gloss this product is the furthest thing, it's
a long lasting, matte liquid lipstick.
This product being on the budget end of the scale and you'd be insane not
to pick one up if you like matte or long lasting lip colours.
They're not drying but I do apply lip balm over top anyway as I dislike
the plastic taste when first applied.
I find these lip colours wear for a long time and survive food and drink.
They're very opaque and don't go chunky or crack although they
can slightly flake around the inside of your lips after long wear or eating
greasy food.
I think these are great, especially for the price!

So that's my take on budget, high street and luxury red lips!
have you tried these products? what are your thoughts?
