Hello!
This is something a little extra that I added to my blog this week, I swapped my blog days
around again, I now blog on monday, wednesday, friday and sunday!
So now every friday I will be sending a beauty tip your way!
Today's tip is how to avoid getting cakey foundation!
If you find that you need the coverage of a heavy foundation and you want it to
look less cakey then try adding a little moisturiser to the foundation before you apply it.
If the foundation is high in pigment, it should not sheer out by using a bit of moisturiser.
(vichy dermablend is my favourite for this!)
You could try using a very light foundation and use a buffing brush to buff it in to
your skin and if you need a little more coverage then just apply some concealer
in to the troublesome areas.
You could make sure that your skin is moisturised, exfoliated and primed before
hand, which helps the way your foundation sits on your skin.
And finally, you can try applying your foundation with a damp sponge,
I apply my foundation with a brush and then smooth out the brush strokes with a beauty
blender dupe and it helps to smooth out my foundation a little more.
(They sell amazing beauty blender dupes for 99p on ebay!)
here's a link to a random ebay shop that sells them - link
Well I hope this short & sweet post was helpful, if you have any extra tips then
leave them in the comments and someone may find them useful!
