Today I thought I'd do something a little different as it
is my blog post on Thursday which is for random blog post.
I came across the 40 beauty questions tag a while ago and bookmarked it on my PC,
but now the time has come to do it!
(I'm sure there is actually 42 questions? but I didn't write it!)

SKINCARE
-How many times do you wash your face daily?
twice, once in the morning and once at night.
-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)
combination, I have an oily t-zone but the rest is normal.
-What is your current facial wash?
I use two, the Micheal Todd charcoal detox cleanser to remove make up and then I use the garnier fruit energy energising face wash (this keeps spots away for me!)
-Do you exfoliate?
yes, every other day, this seems to keep my skin clear.
-What brand do you use?
I use the body shop vitamin c microdermabrasion scrub (it's amazing!)
-What moisturiser do you use?
for day use I use the body shop vitamin c daily moisturiser, at night I use origins drink up intensive or weleda skin food if my skin is super dry, these are used along with a serum and other skin care.
-Do you have freckles?
I get freckles in the summer months even if I wear suncream! they just disappear in winter.
-Do you use eye cream?
yes, I use origins ginzing eye cream for the day time if I didn't get a lot of sleep and I use Dr Darren mckeown collagen stimulation eye cream every night.
-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Yes, I developed some cystic acne 4 - 5 years ago for a small amount of time- when I went on the pill and my skin was adjusting to the hormones, I was prescribed retin-a to rebalance my skin.
-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
nope
MAKE-UP
-What foundation do you use?
it's different every day, it depends on my skin or what effect I want but my most used day time foundation at the moment is the bourjois healthy mix and my going out/doing something foundation is the vichy dermablend foundation.
-How about concealer?
I don't really use it unless I have a spot, but if I do I use the collection lasting perfection concealer
-Do you know your undertone colour?
I have a neutral undertone
-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
depends on the specific lash but I like them
-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
yep, mine dry up by then anyway
-What brand of mascara do you use?
I'm currently using rimmel lash accelerator endless & bourjois volume 1 second waterproof mascara
-Sephora or MAC?
we don't have sephora here but I've been before in Italy and I loved it, I'm not a huge mac fan, their foundations are good but apart from that I don't love it, I'd for sure say sephora.
-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
I did apply years ago when I was doing a lot more freelance makeup, I no longer own one.
-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
eyelash curlers, make up brushes and beauty blender
-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yep, I like the too faced shadow insurance
-For the face?
I don't prime my face, I find no matter what primer I use it just seems to crumble my foundation off within a few hours, even the ones with no silicone.
-What is your favourite eyeshadow (colour or shade)?
I love urban decay's eyeshadow in 'peace' a bright blue, it's beautiful along the lower lash line in summer, I love all urban decay eye shadows, YDK is nice for day to day wear and another fave.
-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I use Kohl pencil for everyday along my waterline but for dramatic make up looks I'll use liquid liner
-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
I haven't done for many years now, I've been applying Kohl pencil since I was 11, so a whole ten years! I guess practise makes perfect..
-What do you think of pigment eye shadows?
I love them! It's a shame they're so messy! Loreal has some good ones that aren't too messy though
-Do you use mineral makeup?
I've tried it but it wasn't really for me, I didn't find it too impressive
-What is your favourite lipstick?
everyday sort of lipstick would be soap and glory matte lipstick in 'super nude' and for my less worn lipstick but a total love of mine is the ysl rouge pur couture 'the mats' lipstick in 204.
-How about lip gloss?
urban decay naked lip gloss in the shade 'liar', those glosses are soooo good!
-What is your favourite blush to use?
it's in fact the cheapest blush I've ever bought, the colour is perfect for my skin tone and it's SO pigmented,
It's the MUA blusher in the shade 'shade 4' .. it costs £1!
-Do you buy your makeup on eBay?
no, I don't trust that it's not been used aha, I used to buy my skin 79 BB cream from Korea off eBay and I also bought some Korean brand of eyeliner pencils years ago but besides that I've not bought makeup.
-Do you like drugstore makeup?
yes :) I love drugstore makeup, a lot of the time it's better than high end and the price tag is better! nothing worse than spending £30 on a lipstick and it being the worst thing to ever exist.
-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
Nope, don't think we have them in the UK.. do we?... I go to beauty supply stores with my beautician card if that's the same thing..
-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I did take a make up class! I was self taught since I was 11 and I really got into make up but 3 years ago while doing my beauty qualification I took a makeup class where they basically taught you day makeup, evening make up, party make up and bridal make up.
-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
nope, I am clumsy in every day life though
-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
a crime? like the scouse brow you mean?..well that's one... foundation that isn't blended, uneven eyeliner flicks? aha
-Do you like colourful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I looooove bright make up, for everyday I shove on neutrals because it's quick and easy so I get out the door quicker but when I have time I'll get out the bright stuff!
-Which celebrity always has great make up?
Kim kardashian's make up is flawless!
-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?
mascara! hands down.
-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
I have and I do but I don't like to! if I blot my t-zone with powder, put on mascara and a lip balm then I'll feel 100% better and wont feel like everyone is looking at my shiny nose (my skin goes super shiny when I wash my face, it's reflective like plastic... brings a whole new meaning to squeaky clean!)
-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
not in the morning :') at night I can think I look acceptable but first thing in the morning I need some colour aha, as I said I need my 3 basic make up items to look decent, otherwise I like 5 years old
-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I'd probably say sleek, I love the pigment in their products, their eye shadows, blushers, brow products, lip products etc are all amazing but I've never tried their foundations so that could be the downfall..
-What do you think of Makeup?
I looooove it :)
